Tips for Navigating the CSU's

​

Make sure you select FALL 2021

  • Create an account on Cal State Apply

    • This is where you will apply to ALL your CSU's​

    • It is only ONE application

      • After you will select your 4 schools 

​

​EOP (Educational Opportunities Program)

​

Requirements:

  • First Generation college student

  • Low-Income

  • First time freshman

What do I need to do?

  • Complete the EOP short answers

  • You will need 2 letters of recommendation

​

What is EOP?

A program geared towards improving access and retention to low-income students. This program helps with your college experience. It provides students with support services, summer programs, tutoring, personal and educational career counseling.

​

Being apart of this program is OPTIONAL. But it has only benefited the students who have been apart of the program. Therefore, it is HIGHLY encouraged to apply.

This is the chance that you get to tell the schools more about yourself through answering only 4 of the 8 questions provided. 

​

Tips for PIQ's:

  • Do not answer the PIQ's directly into the UC application.

    • Complete the questions on a Google Doc​

  • It is NOT an essay. Get straight to the point & answer the question

  • Have an adviser read it over.

If you are having a hard time this is a " How to Guide" from the beginning of the application to the end of the application.

Keep in mind:

  • The application is OPEN NOW, but you cannot submit it. The FIRST DAY to submit an application is November 1st. and the DEADLINE is November 30th
